الفلفل المصري أو الفلفل عريض الأوراق أو الفلفل البرازيلي Brazilian pepper، هو هوع من النباتات المزهرة ضمن الفصيلة البطمية، موطنه الأصلي المناطق الإستوائية وشبه الإستوائية من أمريكا الجنوبية (جنوب شرق البرازيل، شمال الأرجنتين وپاراگواي). ينتشر في الولايات البرازيلية التالية: ألاگواس، باهيا، إسپيريتو سانتو، ماتو گراسو دو سول، ميناس گرايس، پرنامبوكو، پارانا، ريو دى جانيرو، ريو گرانده دو سول، سانت كاتارينا، ساو پاولو وسرگيهپه. من أسمائه الشائعة الفلفل البرازيلي، الفلفل المصري، أرويرا، الفلفل الوردي، الفلفل عريض الأوراق[1] وعنبية الكريسماس.[2]
