إنسانية علمانية

الإنسانية العلمانية Secular humanism هي فلسفة إنسانية تعلي من شأن العقل ، الأخلاق ، و العدالة لكنها ترفض التقاليد و الطقوس الدينية كوسيلة لضمان صلاح الإنسان و جودة الحياة الاجتماعية . درج هذا المصلح في القرن العشرين ليشير بوضوح على الفارق عن الإنسانية الدينية Religious humanism . أحيانا تستخدم كامة "إنسانية علمية" scientific humanism التي استخدمها عالم الحياء إدوارد ويلسون باعتبارها الرؤية الكونية الوحيدة المتوافقة مع المعارف العلمية المتضخمة .
