سيد حسين نصر (1933 - ) هو فيلسوف إسلامي معاصر يعمل بروفسورا في قسم الدراسات الإسلامية في جامعة جورج واشنطن، وهو فيلسوف إيراني بارز، ولديه العديد من المؤلفات والمقالات. اشتهر سيد حسين نصر في مجال مقارنة الأديان والصوفية وفلسفة العلم والميتافيزيقيا فلسفته تتضمن نقد بارع ورفض شديد للحداثة وتأثيرها السلبي على روح الإنسان. يتحدث حسين نصر الإنجليزية والفرنسية والفارسية والعربية.

والمسلم الوحيد الذي اختير من قبل فلاسفة الغرب ليصدر عنه كتاب من ألف صفحة ضمن سلسلة لا تختار إلا أعظم فلاسفة التاريخ المعاصر (Library of Living Philosophers.)
