رودني روبرت پورتر FRS (8 اكتوبر 1917 - 7 سبتمبر 1985)، هو كيميائي حيوي إنگليزي.

ولد في نيوتن-لو-ويلوس، سانت هلنس, لانكاشاير, إنگلترة، حصل بوتر على بكالورويوس العلوم مع مرتبة الشرف من جامعة ليڤرپول عام 1939 في الكيمياء الحيوية، وحصل على شهادة الدكتوراه في نفس المجال من جامعة كامبردج عام 1948.

عمل في المعهد الوطني للبحث الطبي لمدة 11 عاما (1949-1960) قبل أن ينضم لكلية طب مستشفى سانت مارس، الكلية الملكية بلندن، ويصبح أستاذ فايزر للمناعة.

في عام 1967 عين أستاذ وايتلي في الكيمياء الحيوية في جامعة أوكسفورد.


عام 1972، حصل على جائزة نوبل في الفسيولوجيا أو الطب بالمشاركة مع جرالد إدلمان لتحديدهم التركيب الكيميائي الدقيق جسم مضاد|للأجسام المضادة. باستعمال انزيم يسمى پاپين، أمكنه كسر الأجسام المضادة، لدراستها بطريقة أكثر سهولة.

توفي في وينشستر، هامپشاير حيث كان يعيش مع زوجته وأطفاله الخمسة.
