التاريخ

خطوط جنوب الصين الجوية هي شركة طيران مقرها باييون بمقاطعة گوانگ‌دونگ الصينية، وتعتبر الناقل الوطني لجنوب الصين.[3] تسير رحلات للوجهات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية.[4] وفي عام 2008، كانت جنوب الصين من أكبر 5 شركات طيران في العالم من حيث عدد الركاب، وأكبر شركة طيران في آسيا من حيث حجم الأسطول وعدد الركاب.[5] وتصنف كأكبر شركة شحن جوي داخل الصين. وهي عضو في تحالف شركات الطيران سكاي تيم.[6]

مراكز عملياتها الرئيسية في مطار گوانگ‌ژو باييون الدولي ومطار بكين العاصمة الدولي.[7] بدأت شركة طيران جنوب الصين عملياتها في 1989. وفي عام 1996 بدأت الشركة في تسيير رحلات المسافات طويلة عبر القارات لوجهات بين بكين وگوانگ‌ژو وأمستردام. وفي مارس 1997 وعبر المحيط الهادئ بين گوانگ‌ژو ولوس انجليس. في يونيو 1997 حقق طرح أولي لأسهم شركة خطوط جنوب الصين في بورصة نيويورك وهونغ كونغ أكثر من 700 مليون دولار. وفي يوليو 2000 تم تشغيل الرحلات الجوية إلى سيدني وملبورن.
