نصب لنكون التذكاري هو صرح شُيد لتكريم ذكرى الرئيس الأمريكي أبراهام لنكولن (1809 – 1865)، وذلك بين عامي 1915 و1921 مقابل مبنى الكونغرس في واشنطن عاصمة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. وفي هذا المكان نطق مارتن لوثر كينج بعبارته الشهيرة: "عندي حلم - I Have a Dream " بتاريخ 28 آب/أغسطس 1963. والنصب يقع اليوم تحت مسؤولية (خدمات المنتزه الوطني - National Park Service).

 البناء

أخذت عمليات تصميم وبناء نصب لنكولن التذكاري وقتاً طويلاً نسبياً وذلك بسبب الانشغال بمجريات الحرب العالمية الأولى. وكان الكونغرس الأمريكي قد أسس ما عرفت بـ (جمعية نصب لنكولن التذكاري Lincoln Monument Association)، وذلك عام 1867 لغاية إنشاء صرح يكرم الرئيس الراحل أبراهام لنكولن.

لم يتم تحديد مكان الوقع الذي سيقام عليه النصب حتى عام 1901، حيث وقع الاختيار على أرض في واشنطن دي سي كانت حينها أرضاً مستنقعية. أشرف على المشروع المهندس هنري باكون والنحات دانيال شيستر فرينش والرسام الجداري جولس غيرين، واستخدم في عملية البناء رخام كولورادو وحجر الجير من إنديانا.

وضع حجر الأساس للنصب بتاريخ 12 شباط/فبراير 1915، وتم التدشين بتاريخ 30 أيار/مايو 1922 على يد الرئيس الأمريكي آنذاك وارن هاردنج وبحضور روبرت تود لنكولن الابن الوحيد المتبقي على قيد الحياة في ذلك الوقت لأبراهام لنكولن.

 التصميم

يأخذ النصب شكل المعبد الإغريقي التقليدي تحيط به ستة وثلاثين من الأعمدة الضخمة والتي يصل ارتفاع الواحد منها إلى عشرة أمتار، يرمز كل عمود لولاية من الولاية الست والثلاثين والتي كانت تشكل الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية في زمان وفاة الرئيس لنكولن، وقد دون اسم ولاية أعلى كل عمود أما أسماء الولايات الثماني والأربعين فقد سجلت على الجدران الخارجية.

• In the 1996 science fiction movie, Independence Day, the Lincoln Memorial can be seen as a massive alien spacecraft enters the sky around Washington, DC.
• In the 2001 science fiction film Planet Of The Apes
• In the 2009 comedy movie Night at the Museum 2: Battle of the Smithsonian, the statue of Lincoln comes to life and has a short conversation with the characters of Ben Stiller and Amy Adams and helps them defeat the Horus warriors.
• In the 2011 super hero movie, X-Men: First Class, Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr are seen playing chess and talking on the steps of the memorial.
• In the 2011 science fiction movie, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, Megatron destroys the statue of Lincoln and then sits on the chair.
• In the video game Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2, the Lincoln Memorial can be seen in missions that take place in Washington, D.C. In the Allied Campaign Lincolns head was replaced by a head of Stalin before America was liberated. In the Soviet Campaign, it was destroyed for a cash bounty.
• In the video game Fallout 3, in the 200 years since the war in 2077, the Lincoln Memorial has been damaged, including Lincoln's head having gone missing from the statue. The head is later found in the possession of several escaped slaves who want to return it to the memorial and restore it to its original condition.
