(مواليد 21 ديسمبر 1937 مدينة نيويورك ، الولايات المتحدة) . ممثلة أمريكية حائزة على جائزة الأوسكار، كاتبة، ناشطة سياسة، عارضة أزياء وخبيرة لياقة بدنية. وهي ابنة الممثل الأمريكي الراحل هنري فوندا. بدأ نجمها بالصعود لدرجة الشهرة في فترة الستينيات في أفلام من قبيل Barbarella و Cat Ballou.

تصف جين فوندا نفسها بالليبرالية والأنثوية وهي تقيم حاليا في أتلانتا بولاية جورجيا.

عرف عن فوندا نشاطها السياسي على عدة صعد، وكان من أشدها وأكثرها اثارة للجدل معارضتها الشديدة لحرب فيتنام حيث زارت هانوي في يوليو 1972، وانتقدت التدخل الأمريكي في ذلك البلد. كما تظاهرت أيضا ضد حرب العراق و كذلك لنصرة قضايا المرأة .

 التكريمات والجوائز

حصلت على جائزتين من جوائز الأكاديمية (الأوسكار)، كما حازت عدة جوائز أخرى وترشيحات. أعلنت اعتزامها التوقف عن التمثيل في 1991 وعبرت مرارا عن عدم عودتها للتمثيل مجددا. الا أنها عادت للتمثيل في 2005 في دور "الحماة المتسلطة" في فيلم Monster-in-Law، ولاحقا في فيلم Georgia Rule الذي وزع في 2007. أيضا قامت بانتاج وتصوير عدة تمرينات للياقة البدنية في الفترة بين 1982 و 1995.
