توقيت عالمي

التوقيت العالمي (بالإنجليزية: Universal Time أو UT اختصارًا) هو مقياس زمني مبني على دوران الأرض حول نفسها. وهو نسخة محدثة عن توقيت غرينيتش المتوسط حسب دوران الكرة الأرضية سنة 1928م الدولية وهو يعتمد على دوران الكرة الأرضية المتباطئ بنحو ثانية في السنة الواحدة .
