اللسانيات الاجتماعية

علم اللسانيات الإجتماعية أو علم اللغة الاجتماعي (Sociolinguistics) هو فرع من علم اللغويات أو اللسانيات، ويعنى بدراسةِ العلاقة بين اللغة والمجتمع، وكيفية تعاملِ المجتمع مع اللغة التي يمارسها. ويندرج تحت هذا العلم فروع أخرى كعلم اللهجات (Dialectology)، و التخطيط اللغوي (Language Planning)، والتحول اللغوي (Language Shift)، والموت اللغوي (Language Death).
