| نطاق انتشار وحيد القرن الهندي | |
وحيد القرن الهندي Indian rhinoceros (Rhinoceros unicornis)، ويسمى أيضاً وحيد القرن الأكبر، ينتمي إلى فصيلة الكركدنيات. وهو مدرج على لائحة الأنواع المعرضة للانقراض، ويعتبر من أكبر الحيوانات الثديية، يتواجد بصفة رئيسية في شمال شرق ولاية أسام الهندية وفي مناطق محمية في تراي، نيپال، حيث يقتصر تواجده على مراعي النهرية عند سفوح الهيمالايا.[2] ويعتبر وحيد القرن الهندي خامس أكبر حيوان بري.
