- 5 January - A Turkish coast guard vessel exchanges warning shots with a Greek coast guard vessel near the Greek island of Farmakonisi.[1]
- 7 January - Five people are killed and 23 others are injured in a bus crash in Diyarbakır.[2]
- 21 January - The Turkish defense ministry cancels Swedish defense minister Pål Jonson's upcoming visit to Turkey in response to an approval for far-right extremist Rasmus Paludan to protest in front of the Turkish embassy in Stockholm.[3]

- 5 February - At least eight people are killed and 42 injured when a bus crashes and overturns in Afyonkarahisar Province.[4]
- 6 فبراير - زلزال تركيا-سوريا 2023، زلزالان مدمران ضربا جنوب ووسط تركيا، بقوة 7.8 و7.5 على التوالي. تسبب الزلزالان وتوابعهما في مقتل ما لا يقل عن 17.000 شخص وإصابة أكثر من 20.000 في تركيا وسوريا.
في أعقاب زلزال فبراير 2023، أفادت تقارير من تركيا بأن هناك الكثير من التصدعات في السد بعد الزلازل القوية التي ضربت تركيا وأنه تم إخلاء المناطق المحيطة بالسد.[5] وفي السياق نفسه، على الجانب السوري، حذر ناسي گوريور أستاذ علم الزلازل التركي من تأثير الزلازل على المنطقة، مناشداً المجتمع الدولي بإرسال لجان لإصلاح سد بحيرة ميدانكي في عفرين شمال سوريا محذراً من وقوع كارثة أسوأ من الزلزال.

- 5 March - Nation Alliance member Meral Akşener left the alliance in response to the selection of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as the presidential candidate. However, a day later, she abandoned this decision and accepted Kılıçdaroğlu's candidacy.[6]
- 7 March - The Nation Alliance, which was established by the alliance of six political parties, publicly known as the Table of Six, announced CHP leader Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu as its presidential candidate in the upcoming election.[7]
- 10 March - Pınar Gültekin murder suspect Cemal Metin Avcı was sentenced to aggravated life imprisonment.[8]

- 18 March - Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry in Cairo. With this, diplomatic relations between Turkey and Egypt, which had been cut for 11 years, were resumed.[10]
- 19 March - Turkey's first boron carbide production facility was opened in Bandırma, Balıkesir.[11]

- 10 April - The amphibious assault ship, TCG Anadolu, was delivered to the Turkish Naval Forces.[12]
- 15 April - İMECE, Turkey's first domestic satellite with sub-meter resolution, was launched from Vandenberg Space Force Base with SpaceX's Falcon 9 Block 5 rocket at 09:48 Turkish time.[13]
- 17 April - tr (Istanbul Financial Center) was put into service.[14]
- 20 April - 710 billion cubic meters of natural gas discovered approximately 170 kilometers off the Black Sea began to be extracted.[15]
- 23 April - The Altay tank was delivered to the Turkish Land Forces for testing.[16]
- 25 April - The TAI Hürjet made its first flight.[17]
- 26 April - Ankara–Sivas high-speed railway was put into service.[18]

- Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant gained the status of a nuclear facility by bringing in nuclear fuel.[20]

- 2 May - Karapınar solar power plant, the largest in Europe and Turkey, was put into service.[22]
- 3 May - The New Mount Zigana Tunnel, the third longest tunnel in the world and the longest in Europe and Turkey, with a length of 14,476 meters, was put into service.[23]
