پيتر تشارلز دوهرتي Peter Charles Doherty (و. 15 أكتوبر 1940)، هو جراح بيطري أسترالي وباحث في مجال الطب. حصل على جائزة ألبرت لاسكر للبحث الطبي عام 1995، وجائزة نوبل في الفسيولوجيا أو الطب بالاشتراك مع رولف زينكرناگل عام 1996، وحصل على لقب "أسترالي العام" في 1997. في تكريمات عيد أستراليا عام 1997، حصل على وسام أستراليا على عمله مع زينكرناگل. وقد سُمِّي زينكرناگل رفيقاً فخرياً.

وركز دوهرتي في بحثه على الجهاز المناعي، ووصف في عمله الفائز بجائزة نوبل على كيفية حماية خلايا المناعة للجسم ضد الفيروسات. وفاز دوهرتي مع رولف زينكرناگل بجائزة نوبل عام 1996، لإكتشافهم كيفية تعرف خلايا ت على الأنتيجن المستهدفة مع پروتينات عقدة توافق الأنسجة الرئيسية major histocompatibility complex (MHC).
