قالب:Related category
Template:Related category is an easy-to-use template for linking categories horizontally, with the following text displayed on the category page ("Xyz 123" being replaced by the name of the linked category):
- See also the related Category:Xyz 123.
Horizontal linkage is often the right solution when vertical linkage (i.e. as sub-category and parent category) is not appropriate.
In most cases, Template:Related category should be used on both categories to create reciprocal linkage between the two categories.
Instructions for use
- Type {{Related category|CATEGORY NAME}}
replacing "CATEGORY NAME" with the name only of the target category, leaving out the term "Category:".
Example
Typing {{Related category|Textbook controversies}} yields:
- See also the related Category:Textbook controversies.
(In actual use, there will, of course, be a functional link.)
- Time-saving hint: Copy & paste the name of the target category. This also ensures accurate replication of the category's name, including punctuation.
