جون أيرلاند (مؤلف موسيقي)

أيرلاند عام 1917

جون نيكولسون أيرلاند John Nicholson Ireland (و. 13 أغسطس 1879 - ت. 12 يونيو 1962) موسيقي إنجليزي.

يعد ايرلاند عازف بيانو ومؤلف بنفس القدر، تدرب في الأصل كعازف، لكن انجذب نحو العزف في مراهقته. صوته الموسيقي الناضج مميز ضمن المؤلفين البريطانيين، مما يذكر بالأسلوب الانطباعي الذي تطور في فرنسا من خلال ديبوسي ورافيل. رغم أنه كتب اعمال اوركسترالية ولموسيقى الحجرة، تراث أيرلاند الموسيقي الرئيسي لآلته الخاصة وهي البيانو.

 حياته وموسيقاه

بعض قضاء أيرلاند ثمانية أعوام يدرس في الكلية الملكية للموسيقى في لندن من أوائل مراهقته، لا عجب أنه كرس معظم حياته للتدريس والاداء والتاليف. أعماله غالبا لها حس فعلي بالمكان الذي يعكس الالهام الذي وجده في الريف وارتباطه الدائم بمقاطعة سسكس وجزر القنال. كان ايرلاند منجذب بشكل خاص لشعر الشعراء الانجليز مثل ألفرد إدوارد هاوسمان وتوماس هاردي. تدريب ايرلاند العميق للتاليف على يد تشارلز ستانفورد ينعكس في حرفيته المفصلة والمنضبطة واذنه للون المقامي.
