السير تشارلز ستانفورد Sir Charles Villiers Stanford (ولد 30 سبتمبر 1852 وتوفي 29 مارس 1924) مؤلف موسيقي ايرلندي ومدرس ومايسترو.

في الكلية الملكية للموسيقي في لندن درس ستانفورد للكثير من المؤلفين الموسيقيين الإنجليز المستقبليين. موسيقاه الدينية مألوفة لرواد الكنيسة الأنجليكانية وايضا تمتع بالنجاح في اوروبا وامريكا خاصة مع عمله Irish Symphony التي قادها مالر في نيويورك. اسلوبه خفيف وغنائية و"بريطاني" حتما رغم ان حبه لايرلندا يظهر في استخدامه للالحان الشعبية. لحن ستانفورد الجميل لقصيدة ماري كولردج "العصفور الازرق" مقطوعة كورالية شهيرة
