جان سيلڤن بايي Jean Sylvain Bailly (عاش 1736-1793) هو فلكي فرنسي ثم سياسي.

 حياته

درس مدار كوكب المشتري وكتب تاريخا لعلم الفلك في خمسة أجزاء بين سنة 1775-1787م ثم مال الى العمل السياسي وأصبح عمدة باريس 1789-1791م وأعدم سنة 1793م.
