 أهداف

يهدف تعليم الرياضيات إلى أهداف مختلفة تختلف باختلاف العصر والثقافة، إلا أن هذه الأهداف تتضمن بشكل عام:

• تعليم مبادئ العد الأساسية
• تعليم مبادئ الرياضيات الأساسية (حساب، جبر ابتدائي، هندسة رياضية، علم المثلثات) للطلاب
• تعليم مبادئ الرياضيات المجردة مثل مفاهيم المجموعة والدالة
