- This category is only for بلديات ڤرجينيا that are incorporated as مدن under Virginia law, which are legally مستقلة of any مقاطعة government. All other incorporated municipalities are بلدات، that are always within a county.
- Also included here are cities, no longer existing in name, that merged into other independent cities.
- This category does not include cities that have changed their status as an independent city to reincorporated as present day towns, see/use: تصنيف:بلدات ڤرجينيا.
