HMS Ambush in Astute class أسطول غواصة نووية من البحرية الملكية , و وهى السفينة الثانية من هذه الفئة، ويتم حاليا موائمتها. Ambush ,هو المركب ثالث، والغواصة الثانية لتحمل نفس اسم الخدمة في البحرية الملكية. وقد أمرت من GEC ماركوني البحرية (الآن حلول بي أيه إي سيستمز الغواصة ) في 17 مارس 1997. كانت وضعت في بارو في وفرنيس في 22 أكتوبر 2003، [4]وأطلق عليها الإسم رسميا في 16 ديسمبر 2010,[5] بدأت يوم 6 يناير 2011,[1] أكملت إختبار الغوص الأول لها في 30 سبتمبر 2011,[6] وغادرت بحر بارو لتجارب الغوص في 15 سبتمبر 2012.[7]

التصاميم
Ambush's nuclear reactor will not need to be refuelled during the boat's 25 year service. Since the submarine can purify water and air, she will be able to circumnavigate the planet without resurfacing. The main limit is that the submarine will only be able to carry three months' supply of food for 98 officers and ratings.
The Astute class fleet submarines are designed as the most stealthy Royal Navy submarines in history.
