الأب پييترو أنجلو سكي Pietro Angelo Secchi (عاش 29 يونيو 1818 - 26 فبراير 1878)، قس يسوعي وعالم فيزياء فلكية إيطالي قام بأول مسح لأطياف أكثر من 4000 نجم واقترح تصنيف النجوم حسب نوعهم الطيفي. وقد درس الكواكب، وخصوصاً المشتري، الذي اكتشف أنه يتكون من غازات. درس سكي الخطوط الداكنة التي تلحم نصفي المريخ؛ وقد سماهم القنوات كما لو كانوا من عمل كائنات حية. (هذه الدراسات واصلها لاحقاً جوڤاني سكياپارلي.) وبعيداً عن الفلك، فقد تنوعت اهتماماته من الآثار إلى الجيوديسيا، ومن جيوفيزياء إلى الأرصاد الجوية. كما اخترع متيوروگراف، وهو جهاز آلي لتسجيل الضغط البارومتري، درجة الحرارة وهطول الأمطار.

أشرف على إنشاء فنارات لموانئ الدويلات الپاپوية. وفي 1858، سافر إلى فرنسا وألمانيا لشراء العدسات المطلوبة لتلك الفنارات.

The two STEREO (Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory) spacecraft each carry an instrument package called SECCHI (Sun Earth Connection Coronal and Heliospheric Investigation).
