- 5 فبراير - تفجير خط الغاز العربي، الذي يصدر عبره الغاز الطبيعي المصري إلى الشرق الأوسط، محافظة شمال سيناء.[1][2][3] As a result, supplies to Israel and Jordan were halted.[4] State television laid the blame on perpetrators "who took advantage of the unstable security situation in the country."[2] However, according to the head of Egyptian Natural Gas Company, the explosion was caused by a gas leak and not by a terrorist attack.[5]

- 24 فبراير - Police officer shoots microbus driver in Maadi. Onlookers beat the police officer and hospitalize him.
- 24 فبراير - Foreign Minister Ahmed Abul-gheit announced that former Vice President Omar Suleiman had survived an assassination attempt on February 4 2011, when a group of unidentified men opened fire on Suleiman's car from a stolen ambulance in Cairo.[6] One of Suleiman's bodyguards was killed in the attack.[6]

- 3 مارس - Minister of State for Antiquities Affairs Zahi Hawass resigned after posting a list on his personal website of dozens of sites across Egypt that were looted during the 2011 revolution.[7]

- انعقاد الانتخابات الرئاسية في مصر.[8][9] It will be the second presidential election in Egypt's history, following the 2005 election and presidential confirmation referenda in 1999, 1993, and earlier. Potential candidates include Mohamed ElBaradei (the ex-Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency, and joint recipient, with the Agency, of the 2005 Nobel Peace Prize), Amr Moussa (the current Secretary-General of the League of Arab States, and former Egyptian Foreign Minister) and Ahmed Zewail (Egyptian-American scientist, and the winner of the 1999 جائزة نوبل في الكيمياء), among others.
