هنري اولدن‌بورگ
هنري (هاينرش) اولدن‌بورگ Henry Oldenburg (عاش ح. 1618 - 5 سبتمبر 1677)، رجل لاهوت ودبلوماسي وفيلسوف طبيعي ألماني. كان أحد أشهر رجال الاستخبارات في اوروبا في القرن السابع عشر، بشبكة مراسلين تنافس تلك لكل من فابري دى پيرسك، ماران مرسن وإسماعيل بوليو.[1] سافر إلى إنگلترة ليقابل اوليڤر كرومويل. ما لبث أن استقر في لندن بدلاً من العودة لألمانيا.
عند تأسيس الجمعية الملكية، في 1662، أنيطت إليه مهمة المراسلة الأجنبية، كأول أمين للجمعية.[2][3] ويُذكر بمراسلاته الغزيرة ودورية "المداولات الفلسفية للجمعية الملكية" التي أسسها وحررها، نشرت المعلومات عن النشاط الفكري لعلماء الجمعية. وضمن آخرين فقد شجع نيوتن وفلامستيد وملپيگي وليئوڤن‌هوك.
