مرحاض

مرحاض بسيفون في حمام وعليه المستلزمات المعتادة ومنها ورق التنشيف وفرشاة التنظيف.

المرحاض toilet، هو أحد أدوات الصرف الصحي يستخدمه الإنسان بصفة أساسية للتخلص من البول والبراز، ويوجد عادة في حجرة صغيرة تسمى غرفة المرحاض أو الحمام. يشيع استخدام المراحيض المزودة بالسيفون، والتي يتصل خزان صرف صحي قريب متصل بأنبوب صرف صحي يوصل الفضلات إلى نظام الصرف الصحي الرئيسي.

مرحاض بسيفون

مرحاض بسيفون هو مرحاض يصرف الفضلات البشرية باستخدام مياه السيفون الموجود في مكان مجاور. توجد السيفونات عادة في المراحيض الغربية (تستخدم في وضعية الجلوس)، لكنها تتوافر أيضاً في المراحيض العربية حيث يتم صرف الفضلات عن طريق سيفون معلق على الحائط. يصمم مرحاض السيفون على شكل الحروف "S"، "U"، "J"، أو "P" بهدف تجميع الفضلات والغازات المنبعثة منها وتسهيل تصريفها. يتصل المرحاض بأنابيب صرف مثبتة في خليفته تتصل بأنابيب صرف خارجية، المتصلة بأنظمة معالجة الصرف الصحي.
