المحرك الخطي أو محرك الحث الخطي، هو محرك كهربائي ذو تيار متناوب عضوه الثابت غير ملفوف وبالتالي بدلا من أن يكون خرجه عزم يمكنه إنتاج قوة خطية غالبا بقوة لورنتز.

تتناسب القوة الناتجة طرديا مع تيار المحرك الخطي وفقا للعلاقة:
