جون سكوت (عالم اجتماع)

جون سكوت John Scott (و. 1949)، هو عالم اجتماع بريطاني يعمل على موضوعات علم الاجتماع السياسي والاقتصادي، الطبقات الاجتماعية، تاريخ علم الاجتماع، وتحليل الشبكات الاجتماعية. ومقره الحالي في جامعة پليماوث، المملكة المتحدة، وسبق وعمل في جامعات ستراثيلايد، ليشستر، وإسكس.[1] وهو زميل الأكاديمية البريطانية (أنتخب عام 2007)، أكاديمي في أكاديمية العلوم الاجتماعية (انتخب عام 2003). وهو عضو في الاتحاد البريطاني لعلم الاجتماع منذ عام 1970.
