رتگرز، جامعة ولاية نيوجرزي Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey (عادة ما يشار إليها بإسم جامعة رتگرز Rutgers University)، هي أكبر مؤسسة تعليم عالي في نيوجرزي. وكانت قد أنشئت في الأصل بإسم كلية الملكة Queen's College في 1766 وهي ثامن أقدم كلية في الولايات المتحدة. وكانت رتگرز في الأصل جامعة خاصة مرفقة بالكنيسة المصلحة الهولندية وكانت تقبل فقط الذكور، إلا أنها تحولت إلى جامعة أبحاث حكومية مشتركة غير طائفية لا تتطلب انتماءً دينياً من طلبتها. رتجرز هي واحدة من اثنتين فقط من كليات المستعمرات التي أصبحت لاحقاً جامعات حكومية.
