الانتخابات البرلمانية العامة في سنغافورة، عقدت في 7 مايو 2011. يتم يعقد برلمان سنغافورة لفترة أقصاها خمس سناوات، ويُحل بقرار من رئيس سنغافورة وتعقد انتخابات خلال ثلاثة أشهر، كما ينص دستور سنغافورة.[1]

خلفية
الانتخابات العامة 2011 هي الانتخابات السادسة عشر في سنغافورة والحادية عشر منذ الاستقلال. ويسيطر حزب العمل الشعبي (الحزب الحاكم) على غالبية مقاعد البرلمان منذ 1959. وهي ثاني انتهابات برلمانية منذ تولي لي شان لونگ الأمانة العامة للحزب.

النتائج الكاملة
احتفظ حزب العمل الشعبي الذي يحكم سنغافورة منذ فترة طويلة بالسلطة كما كان متوقعا في اكثر الانتخابات العامة تنافسية منذ استقلال البلاد ولكن المعارضة حققت مكاسب تاريخية فيما وصفه الجانبان بأنها انتخابات فارقة.[24]
وصرح رئيس الوزراء السنغافوري لي شيان لونگ بأن هذه الانتخابات كانت نقطة تحول وأشار إلى أنها قد تؤدي الى تغير في سنغافورة وهي واحدة من أثرى الدول وأسرعها نموا في آسيا ولكن تواجه إنتقادات بفرض قيود سياسية وعدم وجود تسامح يذكر مع المعارضة.
وكان لي من بين الفائزين مع إعلان التلفزيون الحكومي ان حزب العمل الشعبي حصل على 81 مقعدا من مقاعد البرلمان البالغ عددها 87 مقعدا. وذهبت المقاعد الستة إلى المعارضة وكان هذا أكبر عدد من المقاعد تحصل عليها المعارضة في أي وقت.

- ^ أ ب ت The SPP and NSP were both constituent parties of the SDA in the 2006 elections and thus received the same vote share. The SDA won a seat in 2006 but lost it when Chiam pulled the SPP out of the alliance in 2011.
