المصطلحات التشريحية

الأمعاء الدقيقة (small intestine) هي عبارة عن أنبوبة ملتفة تبدأ من نهاية الاثنى عشر بفتحة سمكها حوالي 3.5 سم وتنتهي عند بداية الأمعاء الغليظة بفتحة سمكها 1.25 سم وتسمى باللفائفي وطولها حوالي 8 متر وتوجد فيها انثنائات دقيقة تعمل على امتصاص المواد الغذائية لنقلها إلى الدم إلى جميع خلايا الجسم ويحاط بها غشاء رقيق يسمى غشاء المساريقا serosa.

الأمعاء الدقيقة

في البشر بعد سن الخامسة يبلغ طول الأمعاء الدقيقة 7 م (21 ق) وقد تتراوح بين 4-7 م (13.12-22.97 ق).

وتنقسم إلى ثلاثة أقسام بنيوية:

• الإثنى عشر 26 سم (9.84 بوصة) طولاً
• الصائم 2.5 م (8.2 ق)
• اللفائفي 3.5 م (11.5 ق)

 هيستولوجيا

The three sections of the small intestine look similar to each other at a microscopic level, but there are some important differences.

The parts of the intestine are as follows:
