إريك إتش كلاين: أستاذ الدراسات الكلاسيكية والأنثروبولوجيا، ومدير معهد الكابيتول للآثار، وأستاذُ كرسيٍّ سابق لقسم اللغات والحضارات الكلاسيكية وحضارات الشرق الأدنى بجامعة جورج واشنطن في واشنطن العاصمة. وهو عالِم آثار له باعٌ طويل في مجالَي التنقيب والمسح في العديد من أنحاء العالم. ألَّف «كلاين» وحرَّر ١٩ كتابًا تُرجمت إلى ١٦ لغة، من أبرزها «ثلاثة أحجار تصنع جدارًا: قصة علم الآثار»، و«معارك هرمجدون». وقد حاز «كلاين» العديد من الجوائز عن كتبه وأبحاثه وتدريسه
