إتشيوس
إتشيوس Aëtius Amidenus أو إتيوس من عميدا (باليونانية: Αέτιος Αμιδηνός) كان طبيباً بيزنطياً وكاتباً طبياً،[1] تميز بسعة ودقة علمه.[2] المؤرخون لا يتفقون على فترة حياته.
كان مواطناً في عميدا (ديار بكر الحالية)، المدينة الواقعة في أرض جزيرة الفرات،[3] ودرس في الإسكندرية، التي كانت أهم كلية طب في العالم آنذاك.
سافر وزار مناجم النحاس في سولي، قبرص، ثم أريحا والبحر الميت.
في بعض المخطوطات يأخذ اللقب komēs opsikiou (κόμης οψικίου)، باللاتينية: comes obsequii, which means the chief officer in attendance on the emperor.[4] هذا العنوان، حسب فوتيوس،[3] وصل القسطنطينية، حيث مارس الطب.
