Agnes Mary Clerke

أگنس ماري كلرك Agnes Mary Clerke (10 فبراير 1842 - 20 يناير 1907) كاتبة فلكية أيرلندية، كانت جامعة مثابرة للحقائق لا مجرد عالمة. إلا أنها بحلول عام 1885، حقق عملها الشامل، A Popular History of Astronomy in the Nineteenth Century اعتراف عالمي كمرجع لا يبارى. وفي 1903، مع الليدي هگنز، أُنتُخِبت عضو فخري في الجمعية الفلكية الملكية، وهي رتبة لم يصلها من قبل إلا إمرأتين، كارولين هرشل وماري سمرڤيل. مطبوعاتها تضمنت عدة كتب و 55 قطعة في Edinburgh Review. وقد ساهمت بعدة سيَر لفلكيين في Dictionary of National Biography وبعض المواضيع الفلكية في دائرة المعارف البريطانية. ولدت في سكيبيرين، مقاطعة كورك، أيرلندا، وتوفيت في لندن.
