هيئة قناة السويس: خطأ فني أو بشري قد يكون السبب الرئيسي لجنوح الحاوية إيڤر گيڤن في قناة السويس.

في 27 مارس 2021، صرح مدير هيئة قناة السويس، اللواء أسامة ربيع إن سوء الأحوال الجوية لم يكن السبب الرئيسي لجنوح سفينة الحاويات الضخمة إيڤر گيڤن في قناة السويس. وقال في مؤتمر صحافي في مدينة السويس "ما في يدنا الآن هو الرياح والعاصفة الترابية .. وقد يكون خطأ فنيًا أو خطأ شخصيًا .. سيظهر كل ذلك في التحقيقات".^[1]

تشترط الحكومة المصرية أن يصعد "طاقم مرشدين" مصري السفن التي تعبر قناة السويس، بما في ذلك مسؤول واحد أو أكثر من الطيارين البحريين من هيئة قناة السويس الذي يقود السفينة خلف الطاقم العادي. كان هناك طياران مصريان من هيئة قناة السويس على متن الطائرة وقت وقوع الحادث.^[2]^[3]
