In Domine nomine...Pro salute anime mea et Hawise uxoris mea et omnium ancessorum et successorum meorum dedisse cocessisse et hac carta mea confirmasse deo et ecclesie... ("William Count of Gloucester to all his men English and Welsh, greetings. In the name of God...and for the salvation of my soul and that of my wife Hawise and of all my ancestors and successors I have given, conceded and by this my charter confirmed, to God and the church...")
