Description

English: New Guinea. 21 January 1944. Informal portrait of Brigadier William John Victor Windeyer DSO and Bar in a forward area. Brigadier Windeyer served as Commanding Officer of the Sydney University Regiment between 1937 and 1940, and post war served as a judge of the High Court of Australia between 1958 and 1972.
