English: This double-fronted, two-storey building was the original building of the Palmerston North Technical School. It was designed by Frederick de Jersey Clere and built on the corner of King and Princess Streets. When the Technical School moved it was used by the Palmerston North Teacher's College and then became the home of the Palmerston North Technical Institute, now UCOL. It is now called Opie, after the first Principal of the Technical School.
