I've driven past this view so many times since moving to St. Albans, I finally took time out to take my camera up there. Best [/photos/g4egk/4558504257/sizes/l/ viewed large]. I don't often use my 18-200 (saving for a 70-200 f/2.8) but I needed the reach for this shot. Just captured this before the light had completely faded. Went for HDR to retain the detail on the abbey and still expose the sky (I think I'm mildly addicted to HDR too). This might be the spot I'll take for St. Albans 2010 fireworks display in November. Hopefully come away with a better picture in 2010 than [/photos/g4egk/4115461871/ last years] attempt. |
