English: Blending of the Moorish architecture and Christian (Renaissance) architecture in the vicinity of the sanctuary of the Mezquita-Catedral de Córdoba. Originally the Mezquita (mosque) had 1293 pillars but after Cordoba was captured by Christian forces in 1236, 437 pillars were removed to make way for the building of the a cathedral.
