English: This image shows the La Pasada Formation exposed at its type section at Dalton's Bluff, New Mexico, USA. The very topmost beds in the bluff are the overlying Alamitos Formation. The La Pasada Formation is an early to middle Pennsylvanian marine cyclic limestone and shale formation.
