(Japanese)

English: Juraku-dai Byōbu-zu. Folding screen painting of the Jurakudai palace. It was constructed at the order of Toyotomi Hideyoshi in Kyoto in 1587. It was located in present-day Kamigyō, Kyoto.
In this folding screen, the castle tower has a height of four or more layers. The walls of the Azuchi-Momoyama era are black walls painted with black lacquer in both Azuchi Castle and Osaka Castle, but this folding screen has a white wall. The lower left of the castle tower is thought to be a well in the rainy season that remains as the rare remains of Juraku Dai-ichi. Wells are also drawn. The magnificent castle tower and the blooming cherry blossoms depicted in this work remind us of Hideyoshi's glory, which was at its peak. The author is unknown, but it is thought that it was drawn at the same time as the founding of Jurakudai (Momoyama period), and it is a valuable material that conveys not only the artistic value but also the state of Jurakudai and its surroundings at that time.
