J. B. Lippincott & Co. was an American publishing house founded in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, in 1836 by Joshua Ballinger Lippincott and incorporated in 1885. After a number of acquisitions by other companies, the name is now an imprint of Wolters Kluwer Health. The J. B. Lippincott Building at 227-31 South 6th Street on the corner of Locust Street was built in 1900 and was designed by William B. Pritchett in the Italianate style. It is now apartments.
