El asta termina en lanza y en la moharra lleva cinta verde. las ocho barras significan el mes de agosto , en cuyo 28 se dio vida civil y religiosa a tan hermosa región... el Rojo el significado heráldico que el gules del escudo y además la sangre de nuestro prócer de la patria que nos dieron libertad ".
