English: Durbuy, Belgium. Castle - Church – Récolletine dwellings. In 1663 the Récollectine nuns built a convent in Durbuy. In 1792 they were driven out by French revolutionaries. They run a boarding school for young girls of wealthy families. The current castle (private property) was built around 1880 on the ground where the castle of Durbuy has always stood. Texts about the latter castle go back to the 11th century. The church of Saint-Nicolas was constructed in 1632 and enlarged in 1774.
