English: The Costa Daurada in Spain lies between Barcelona and Tarragona. This picture is looking South and the towns along the coastline (from near to far) are Sitges, Vilanova y La Geltru, Cubelles and Calafell. Up near the horizon is Tarragona (indistinct).

Coming back to Sitges, the almost-circular town inland is Sant Pere de Ribes.

Between the two you can see the old "Terramar" oval motor racing circuit which is Europe’s second oldest racing circuit. It's 2 Km long and has banking of up to 60 degrees.

Due to financial difficulties it has been disused since the 1950's but as recently as 2012 famous rally driver Carlos Sainz took to the old circuit in an Audi R8, and broke the 80 year old lap record (Which is hardly surprising as it had stood unchallenged for about 80 years!)
