English: Clenennau/Clenenny Farm Clennenau was the home of the Royalist commander Col Sir John Owen. John Owen was a soldier's soldier. Sentenced to death, he was reprieved after the parliamentarian Griffith Jones of Castellmarch, near Abersoch SH 3129 was kidnapped by Irish privateers. A wing of the present house dates back to Sir John's time.
