Home of the Charleston Battery of the USL First Division, Blackbaud Stadium hosts an annual soccer tournament, the Carolina Challenge Cup, with three Major League Soccer teams. My wife and I first went in 2006 to cheer for the Houston Dynamo, who had just left San Jose at that time, dressed in our San Jose Earthquakes gear. We had such a great time we went again in 2007. With the Quakes returning to MLS in 2008, I hope they go to this tournament so we can cheer for them there next March! |
