Designed by William Kent, engraved by Nicolas-Henry Tardieu for the quarter edition of The Seasons. The upper half represents the allegorical regal 'progress' of the personified season as it is described in the opening lines, while the lower half illustrates naturalistically, upon several planes, several episodes and scenes.
