رواق الغاز الجنوبي
رواق الغاز الجنوبي Southern Gas Corridor هي مبادرة من المفوضية الاوروپية للامداد بالغاز من مناطق بحر قزوين والشرق الأوسط إلى أوروپا. The initiative was proposed in the European Commission's Communication "Second Strategic Energy Review – An EU Energy Security and Solidarity Action Plan" (COM/2008/781).[1][2] كما سمّى الاتحاد الاوروپي عدداً من البلدان الشريكة في المبادرة، مثل أذربيجان وتركيا وجورجيا وتركمنستان وقزخستان والعراق ومصر وبلدان المشرق --لاحظ غياب إسرائيل. أوزبكستان وإيران should represent, when political conditions permit, a further significant supply source for the EU.[2]
In the Trans-European Networks – Energy (TEN – E) programme, "the European Union has designated (...) three of the pipelines as of strategic importance (خط أنابيب إيطاليا-اليونان، نابوكو والتيار الأبيض)."[3] كما يُعتبر خط الأنابيب عبر الأدرياتي أحد مشاريع الرواق الجنوبي.[1] Together, the Southern Corridor projects could provide the necessary transportation capacity to deliver the 60 to 120 billion cubic metres per year of Caspian and Central Asian gas that the European Commission aims to bring directly to Europe.[4]
في 8 مايو 2009، انعقدت قمة "الرواق الجنوبي – طريق الحرير الجديد" في پراگ.[5]
وفي 15 يوليو 2016، حثت الولايات المتحدة اليونان على المضي قدماً في خصخصة شبكة نقل الغاز الطبيعي (DESFA) ببيع 66% منها لشركة النفط الأذربيجانية سوكار ، ضمن الاستعداد "للرواق الجنوبي للطاقة" وخط الأنابيب عبر الأناضول. غاز شرق المتوسط هو رافد رئيسي في هذا الرواق الجنوبي. كان ذلك في لقاء بين مساعد وزير الخارجية الأمريكي لشئون الطاقة، إموس هوكشتاين، ووزير الطاقة والبيئة اليوناني، پانوس سكورلتيس.[6]
