ظلفيات أحادية الأظافر هي حيوانات إصبعية لكنها تمشي إما على 3 أصابع أو اصبع وحيد وتحتوي على 17 نوعا حيا بعد انقراض الكثير من أنواع هذه الرتبة ومن بينهم البلوجثريوم أضخم حيوان مشى على سطح الأرض على الإطلاق حيث كان يبلغ طوله أثناء الوقوف 5 أمتار.
