پرسيڤال لورنس لويل Percival Lawrence Lowell (عاش 13 مارس 1855 – 12 نوفمبر 1916) كان رجل أعمال ومؤلف وعالم رياضيات وفلكي أمريكي، أشعل التكهنات أن هناك قنوات على سطح المريخ، وأسس مرصد لويل في فلاگ‌ستاف، أريزونا، وشكـَّل بداية الجهد الذي أدى إلى اكتشاف پلوتو بعد 14 عاماً من وفاته. اختيار الاسم پلوتو ورمزه تأثر جزئياً بالحروف الأولى من اسمه PL.
