نيال كامپل دگلس فرگسن Niall Campbell Douglas Ferguson (ولد 18 أبريل 1964، في گلاسگو) هو مؤرخ بريطاني (اسكتلندي) متخصص في التاريخ الاقتصادي والمالي وكذلك تاريخ الاستعمار. وهو أستاذ كرسي لورنس تيش للتاريخ في جامعة هارڤرد وأستاذ كرسي وليام زيگلر في ادارة الأعمال في كلية الأعمال بجامعة هارڤرد. وقد تلقى تعليمه في أكاديمية گلاسگو الخاصة في اسكتلندة، وفي كلية ماگدالن بجامعة أكسفورد.

وأكثر ما يشتهر به خارج الجامعة هو آراؤه التعديلية التي تحسن صورة الإمبريالية والاستعمار؛ أما داخل الأكاديميا، فتزعمه لحركة تاريخ الحقائق المضادة هو مثار لغط وجدل عظيمين. وفي 2008، نشر فرگسن أحدث كتبه، صعود المال: التاريخ المالي للعالم والذي قدمه أيضاً كبرنامج تلفزيوني مسلسل في القناة 4. وفي كلية هارڤرد، كان فرگسن يُدرِّس مادة ذائعة الصيت بين الطلبة هي "الصعود الغربي: ينابيع القوة العالمية من 1600 إلى الحاضر."
